The next BADCo pantomime will be Jack & The Beanstalk, written and directed by Lisa Holman. The show will take place in the Lecture Theatre at Barnwood from 22nd to 24th February 2018.
Script read-throughs and information meetings will take place at Barnwood on the following dates and anyone who is interested in getting involved, either on stage or behind the scenes is invited to come along.
Tuesday 5th September at 7.30pm in the Conference Centre Room Sizewell
Sunday 10th September in the S&SC Pavilion.
Membership of BADCo is open to any member of the Sports & Social Club, and details of how to join can be found on the website if required. Junior members are welcome to join alongside a participating adult!
If you would like to get involved or would like to know more then please either come along to one of the sessions or get in touch with any queries. You can contact me via the S&SC office (NB I am usually only in the office one day a week) or directly on email@example.com. You can also contact Lisa at Lisa.firstname.lastname@example.org, especially if you have any queries about the script.
You are welcome to just turn up to the sessions but it would be helpful if you let us know in advance that you are coming so that we know how many to expect. If you would like to be involved but can’t make either of the dates then please let us know by Tuesday 5th September so that we can try to arrange an alternative session for you.
The script readings will give you a chance get a feel for the characters and story and as usual will also serve as auditions for many of the roles, so if possible please come to both sessions if you can to give you and the Director plenty of chance to try different things. Some roles, especially those with a bigger singing requirement or where Lisa has not worked with people before, may require individual auditions. ALL WELCOME – NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!!
Rehearsals will mainly take place on Tuesdays and Sundays during September and October and then on Thursdays and Sundays from December onwards, with a period in November likely to be a combination of the two depending on various factors. The full rehearsal schedule will be confirmed in September although there may be scope for flexibility in some cases if needed.
We look forward to seeing you in September!
